By cutting two boards into an 'X', beveling the edges and swapping opposite pairs, I have made a piece that projects off the wall, and contains the inverse pieces of the other. This structure is the basis for the series. I am exploring how far one can push the artifice of paint and glitter in combination with a raw quality of wood or paint. Maintaining the dimensions of a board, points to its origins as a board. This is something I look at everyday but never studied. I like the honesty of ending where I began.
